Doubt it will do much to dent their credibility with their readership, but the Doreen Lawrence part especially is sickening.

And therein lies the real problem

Yes the Daily Wail is an arzwipe, back to it's pre war days of supporting Hitler, and British fascism, and vilifying Jewish children escaping Nazi Germany. As iIts photos of semi naked teenage girls with comments of 'all grown up now'

One of the earliest comments I still remember re politics. was as a student working on a farm in the holidays. We were stacking bails of straw, and the chap I was helping had actually fought in the Spanish Civil War. He had sat out WW2 as a CO, and was living miles out in the sticks having moved from East London

He spoke of the Wail then.

"Be warned. The sort that read that stuff don't read it through accident. "

"Not old xxxxx the farmer), but your own kind. He don't need to do anything, they'll do it for him "
(or words to that effect).

Only many, many years later did I come to recognise what he meant.

The rabble rouser can only do his work when there is a rabble willing to listen.

A bit corny now, but

An extreme outcome, but the playbook is exactly the same. Divide and conquer.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
