So, are the budgies gonna get lucky again? 19:53 - Nov 14 with 2166 views | ArnieM | With the World Cup break coming at the time it has, allowing them to re group …. Or even sack the manager. Indeed, should they sack their manager? Looking at the championship table they could conceivably drop several place after the next couple of games if they don’t win them. But things always seem to fall for them.

Lol …. Well, they’re looking for more income so maybe another stand fire is due?

A number on here and in the chatroom seem obsessed with them.
So, are the budgies gonna get lucky again? on 04:52 - Nov 15 with 1801 views | gainsboroughblue | Things do feel different for them this time around. They are dropping a lot of points finding ways to lose games and aren't anywhere near as obviously the best team in the division. Seems to be a bit of infighting as well as the manager seemingly on borrowed time, while picking up enough points from winnable games to stay afloat. We are so used to them finding a way somehow though.

If only there were other sides pulling away though, no-one is quite able to do so at the moment. They missed out on going back up in 16-17 and then finished below us in 17-18 (by a point I think but still) so then had to get up the following year.

So, are the budgies gonna get lucky again? on 09:47 - Nov 15 with 1484 views | clive_baker | All is not well there. I mentioned at the time Dean Smith being really weird away at Blackpool where he called out some of the Blackpool fans after some really innocuous chanting in his direction. He then just stood with a really forced and OTT smile on his face, staring out the Blackpool fans and section of disabled supporters. He was generally acting like a real knob. A friend of mine was in the Blackpool squad that day and what was telling is even a lot of the Norwich staff were embarrassed by it and some said DS is a real odd ball. There's little harmony there and Norwich really weren't all that on the pitch, they were lucky to get away with the win. They were top then, but I said at the time I think all isn't well. Since that day they've won 2 out of 10. I think they've got the squad to challenge for top 2 but I don't believe Smith is the man to do it. They might get a playoff spot just by virtue of the fact they've got better players but he's not getting the best out of them.

They're actually conceding game-changing injury time goals now, and losing possession stats to the likes of Rotherham! Things have swung for t'Budgies and to cap it all the price of Trill has gone through the roof, whilst silver polish is cheaper than it has ever been. Hopefully they keep snagging a few wins here and there to keep Smith and his equally miserable porcine sidekick at the helm. I'd like them to be upper mid table finishers, and ripe for the plucking next season.

They remind me a little bit of us under Lambert. There was a bit of a fear factor about playing them initially, and they do have some good players, which contributed to a fast start without actually playing particularly well. But they just look out thought (dare I say 'found out') and opposition sides are starting to realise they are actually very beatable. I think morale is low, I don't think Smith is particularly well liked and for me it's a case of when not if he's relieved of his duties. As you say hopefully it comes when its too late to salvage this season.

Considering we’re highly unlikely to ever challenge at the top end of football again, for me one of our main objectives should be to consistently be better then Norwich.

For me regardless of league status , we'll ALWAYS be better

So, are the budgies gonna get lucky again? on 11:15 - Nov 15 with 1245 views | ArnieM | Good insightful comments by some on this thread. Thanks guys. I don’t see any harm in talking about the old enemy , it’s fate I say it, natural to wonder what’s going on north of the boarder into the darklands. I do wonder if Smith will get the sack in the next week or so. As some have said it’s almost the opportunist time to do it. My own feeling is they will end up out of the play off zone. But there appears to be a mini USA financial backing going on. But certainly nowhere near the level of Gamechanger.

Have they got a sister club in the US? If so...

If they had a sister club, they would also be based in Norwich.
