Why was there no VAR check? Ref obviously overruled it, but seems odd given how much they used it in some games for the most minor or subtle things. |  |

Nah....tackling from behind has been a foul for decades.
The defender was in the process of clearing the ball...no challenge was made on the Brazilian. |  |
