Japan was a comfortable enough game and victory, and we showed some guts to get a draw against NZ. Argentina was poor, but I would've forgiven that if we showed more on Saturday. That was just so...meh and think given it was the last game isn't a nice note to finish on. I'm not holding out much hope for the 6 nations or World Cup.

Eddie Jones reviews the Autumn results on 13:20 - Nov 30 with 1188 views | Chrisd | Jones should've gone after the Aussie series in the summer IMO and left after a series win in his homeland. Instead we have to put up with turgid style of rugby, we've going backwards under his coaching, he plays players out of position and what worries me most if we can't beat a side with physicality then he has no Plan B. With the resources and pool of players English Rugby has we should be one of the best sides in the world, but we look a long way short of that. If we stick with Jones we'll make the QF at next year's World Cup, but we are a long way short of France, Ireland, the Saffers as it proved on Saturday and even NZ if they didn't let us off the hook in the last 10 minutes. I hope the RFU can see sense and see through all EJ's BS. [Post edited 30 Nov 2022 13:21]

I don't disagree but who replaces him? Gatland?

Scott Robertson would be a great addition, if you could prize Borthwick, by all accounts he is doing great things at Leicester.

That would have been the choice wouldn't it. Now that option is removed they will assume look domestically if they go that way. Edit: just read Borthwick is the man. Wait and see. Can't help but feel Gatland could do wonders with that Emgland team [Post edited 6 Dec 2022 10:50]

I can't stand Gatland, but that's largely due to how competitive he made Wales against us and the smug look on his face that we got too used to seeing. He's clearly a top coach though, it's a shame we didn't bin Jones in the summer and give him the Autumn games, 6 nations and a year to have a crack at the World Cup. But let's see what Borthwick does, he's clearly well known to the players and board from his coaching stint and all the years working with Jones.
