Read something earlier in the Athletic saying De Zerbi is reluctant to let him go out on loan. With Welbeck out they've been playing Trossard up front and don't have many options for an out and out striker with Undav not in favour and potentially being moved on which leaves Ferguson and Encisco who is another 18 year old.
They're not the sort of club to make short term signings to fill gaps so unlikely they bring in a couple of strikers to knock him down the pecking order. |  |

De Zerbi said the below the other day after the Arsenal game so seems he is having a bit of a look at him in a game or two. Also Welbeck and Undav are out. Might well be available later in the window, not dissimilar to Jay Stansfield in the summer at Fulham.
