I was initially going to post that as much as I disagree with the death penalty, equating it with those murders is a stretch. I decided not to and reflected on it and then thinking about the "crimes" that are leading to this regime's executions and I have to think it is a fairly reasonable comparison to make. |  |

It's awful stuff. Crimes such as attending a protest. No transparency, no recording of the deaths and not even returning the bodies to families. Under a decent administration these people would be considered mass murderers, so I think there's certainly some merit in the comparison. The motives are slightly different (one for kicks, one for control), but it's hard not to argue that they're all evil. |  |
