Macaulay Langstaff 18:38 - Apr 7 with 1570 views | Mercian | He has 41 in 41 for Notts County in a Division that is not much worse than League Two. Last season he scored 31 in 53 for Gateshead. There is a potential bargain there. He is relatively young having just turned 26. Worth a risk? [Post edited 7 Apr 2023 18:39]

His hunger , finishing and touch at national league is sublime. Could he play at a higher level ? For sure. Could he play in League 2 ? Definitely Could he play in League 1 ? Lower level Could he play in the Champ ? Nope - sorry Great to watch at his level though

I am not so sure. The League Two teams who are relegated are not guaranteed promtion candidates and the promoted teams generally do quite well.

I am not saying will ever be at Vardy's level but I imagine a post a decade ago saying exactly the same about him. [Post edited 7 Apr 2023 21:14]

Macaulay Langstaff on 21:18 - Apr 7 with 1052 views | tractordownsouth | I think he’ll end up at the top end of League One, maybe somewhere like Bolton or Barnsley if they stay down. Not sure we’d be interested, regardless of what level we’re playing at.

Fair point mate. I guess it’s league two to league 1 always seems a big jump up then obviously again to the championship.

Two to One is a jump unless it is clubs like Bolton who should never have dropped that low and were always likely to recover, similar to Portsmouth or Coventry. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Macaulay Langstaff on 22:04 - Apr 7 with 886 views | Sharkey | One thing is clear is that it's a lot easier to score goals at the top of the National league than at the top of League 2. the top 5 in National League have scored 106, 106, 67, 68 and 73 respectively the top 5 in League 2 have scored 52, 53, 60, 53, and 53 I suppose it's easier to 'make hay' in the National league. Dorking are 6th bottom of national league and have conceded 86 goals. Gillingham are 6th bottom of League 2 and have conceded 42. In League 2, Orient who are top have scored only 14 goals more than Rochdale, who are bottom. It's a cagey league. [Post edited 7 Apr 2023 22:35]
