Tomorrow is going to be an incredible occasion. 12:36 - Apr 24 with 1358 viewsAsa

Two of the best teams anywhere in Europe on current form going head to head.

5,000 away fans. Home fans that will be completely up for it. All under the lights.

If Barnsley fail to win, they are resigned to the playoffs, so they have to go for it.

We go out to win every match and know winning tomorrow takes us needing just one win or one Wednesday failure to win.

Furthermore, there isn't quite the cagey nature of say Liverpool v Arsenal in '89 because it's not the last game or the last chance.

Absolutely incredible set of circumstances surrounding it to make it quite the occasion.

I think Barnsley know the chance of them getting top two is practically over. Even if we lose tomorrow, a win against Exeter will mathmatically confirm it.

As I said before though: I'd much rather be playing Barnsley away than a Shrewsbury/Bristol Rovers

Barnsley would want to win whatever. Mathematically they could still reach the playoffs so they have to try for the win. This could be in our favour as we are probably better counter attacking than outright attacking. Peterborough was maybe an example of a slight change in tactics for the remaining away games in that Posh had more possession than Town. This may have been deliberate ? We are very much in the driving seat and I think it will take a better team than Barnsley to lower our colours.

Not quite. A loss tomorrow would still leave us needing five points (thus effectively six) to achieve automatic promotion, unless SheffWed slip up.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Sorry, I mean if we lose tomorrow but win on Saturday, Barnsley's automatic hopes would be mathematically over :)

That has nothing to do with tomorrow night though. They are not going to think it's over and rollover. They are going to put the pressure on if they can.

Go for the win but a point would be huge. As long as we don't lose...

Truly impaired.

Ah, I misunderstood. Thought you meant we would mathematically be confirmed as top two, not Barnsley out of the race.

Tho if Plymouth lose all three and SheffWed mess up, Barnsley would still be in with a shot ...
