At this point, if you're still actively voting Tory you're basically admitting to yourself that you're in it for the bigotry, corruption, incompetence and criminality rather than any genuine interest in the betterment of the country. [Post edited 5 May 2023 17:45]

when you set a manage-expectations-level you expect it to be considerably less than that. so i think they're already well over their worst fears!

'Yes but Labour' is literally all you lot have got when you get past the bigoty, corruption, incompetence and criminality isn't it Gaz? What's your favourite thing about them? I bet you're not like the rest, I bet you're all about the corruption, right?

There are some points worth discussing in that, but they’ve little to do with anyone being a better option than the Tories who are failing all of us (and taking the pee while doing it).

Sorry to disappoint Badger, really does not seem to be a party that represents me, so if the choice is Labour we have all got trouble. Time now for a reset with parties. 'My lot' is a strange comment as I don't ever recall saying I vote Tory.

Do you realise we can all look up things like records on pay and various performance criteria? It’s easy to disprove nonsense. [Post edited 5 May 2023 18:52]

Sure that it's pure coincidence how you always turn up to take the side of the Tories tho, whenever people starting talking about the being bigoted, corrupt, incompetence and criminally inclined, tho.

we're celebrating tory losses as it's great to see the back of them, why are you so keen to defend them if you don't vote for them?

"small state" And they still don't get it. Today, some Tory halfwits were bleating about bringing in lower taxes - for fcksake. ! It is this delusion that reducing the charge to business brings about a better economy. You only have to see that in action with Trusses suicidal brexit ideas put into action. In countries where businesses pay higher taxes (some of it through PAYE) you see a more healthy and vibrant economy. That is because there is money to fix the infrastructure and keep workers fit (able to work). Check out what happens in the Nordic countries and then compare that to the US where the infrastructure is crumbling around them, and the economy is propped up by enormous mineral deposits, where workers work far longer for no relative benefits. That the NHS is struggling, it is now a virtually a dentist free zone and the staffing levels are at a dangerously low level is down to this lunatic 'trickle down policy ie the small state. Yet companies are now moving out of the UK. NOT because of the corporation tax rate, but because they cannot get the staff and trading conditions have worsened due to brexit regulations being imposed. The question NO Tory is able to answer is why the Scandinavians are successful, and ;small state' countries are often verging on the banana republic status ? If you do not spend and attempt to run the country 'on the cheap' you eventually get railways that don't run properly, roads with hundreds of thousands of potholes, much of the population with few skills, raw sewage being dumped in to rivers, huge waiting lists for medical treatment, filthy streets, a shortage of police etc Try running your home like the Tories have un the country then wonder why so much no longer works.
