I did cheat so won't answer but the question did lead me to an informative article on the demise of schoolboy Internationals ( thanks to Howard Wilkinson) ... I remember going toone with my school ( Eye Secondary Modern) in the early 70's v Netherlands, brilliant day England won an Wembley was packed TWTDs

I too went with school in the 70s - Stowmarket high
I think it was a 2-0 win over Scotland- big crowds, rosettes and the odd rattle

I read this as the old Wembley so was thinking Darren Bent, but perhaps England schoolboys stopped around the same time so I'll stick with him as my guess!

Seems to be no response so had a little look.

Is the correct answer Jayden Danns? When was he a Town player?

I have found an article in the Guardian that makes one of the responses above correct, though. What is the difference between the current England under-16s and what is referred to as England schoolboys? Why are they no longer England schoolboys?

EDIT: Or is the clue "at Wembley" as Danns' goal was in a tournament away from the UK and the home games are now at St George's Park rather than Wembley?
