Apologies if this has been pondered before but do you think we will ever see him in our first team? What's the plan for him?

Think centre backs peak a little later and take a bit more time to develop. Think he's ticking along well, did well at Gillingham. Next step is probably consistent football in League One.

Woolfy?

Didn't really put it all together until half way through his 3rd season as a first team regular (aged 23).

Also breaks through into our first team when we're a League One team on an Evans budget/plan. If we were in that situation we'd almost certainly be preparing to line up with Baggott as starter next season imo.

I wonder if he stays here this season as is one of only of a couple of players U21 who could cope with first team football to ensure squad isn't too small

I thought Woolf showed similar potential to what Baggott shows now.

However, Woolf had the advantage of us dropping so that he had a chance to develop with us. Let's not forget, though, not that long ago an experienced manager here didn't think he was good enough for League 1.

Baggott has the added challenge of us progressing. Good loans could allow him to bridge that gap. Time will tell but I wouldn't be overly surprised for him to leave before he reaches the peak of his career unless his potential is deemed to match our aspirations. It will be interesting to see.

Never hurts to be left footed too.

Although I'm not sure that 5 centre backs for 2 positions does a lot for us squad planning wise? It seems to be forwards and midfielders we're keen to overload on.
