Blackburn is a horrific reference point for judging if someone is proven at champ level as well.
They don't create many chances, didn't score an equaliser for like half a season if i remember correctly. He is scoring against them 100%. |  |

Yes in the interview when he intimates he wants to prove the doubter wrong, with regard to scoring in the Championship, he's no doubt referring to the Blackburn spell... where he actually only played 9 times, and clearly didn't click
Looking at his record below... he has moved around a lot, left Sheff Weds under a cloud, due to contract negotiations.. and he isn't perhaps 20 a goal a season prolific, even if you take his positive spell at Pompey and last season with us.. but his wider contribution was huge for us, with superb hold up play, and softening up centre backs for Freddie to pounce
Going to be fascinating to see how he does this season

Yeah I think he only started twice for Blackburn. I think the vast majority of those Rotherham appearances were off the bench and stuck out wide to win headers.
Certainly not a fair test. This season will be though, he'll play a lot (injuries permitting) in a good side that should be well drilled and create chances. It's a great opportunity to prove himself and if Jan - May was anything to go by he's very capable of that. I think the first thing he did in a Town shirt, seconds after coming off the bench for his debut vs. Plymouth was a lovely near post run (headed over) and I thought straight away that's a guy who knows how to play center forward. |  | | |
