Thanks for posting that. In around his last 200 appearances since 2018 he’s scored 71 goals. That’s a pretty good ratio and looking at the compilation you can see why. He’s very much a penalty area player. Quick feet, good positioning, knows where the goal is, he’s a real asset to us and better than some give him credit for.

Don’t get me wrong, Hirst is no 1 choice, but 24 in 59 appearances is not to be sniffed at.

Freddie suffers from being languid and people mistake it for laziness or being slow (think Jason Dozzel).

He's a massive asset, like Jackson. Offers something different to Hirst.

Excellent compilation, thanks. Some great goals in there. When you you see them all together like that you realise what a quality striker Freddie is. He makes so much time for himself with his strength and calmness, and finishes really clinically. The stats bear out that assessment too, both his excellent strike rate and his accuracy. Let's not forget, a lot of those 59 appearances were as a substitute... His goals per mlnutes ratio would look a lot more impressive
And more accurate, as to how good he's really been for us..
