And one of their best players. Sounds like a completely new/makeshift CB partnership will face us

Thats a sickner for them... He's a decent CB... Squad depletion , as always, will play a big part in every team's seasons.... For promotion or survival, now matter how good your players or coaching staff are. You'll always need a bit of luck with injuries .
Promising signs for us, in that, a lot of our fringe players have performed really well when called upon, so far..
For me personally, I feel we have better squad depth, than I perhaps felt, before a ball was kicked this season...

McKenna has managed our squad brilliantly. Fringe players get enough minutes and feel enough of a part of the whole that they simply slot in. Recently, Fridge & Harness are perfect examples. The only irreplaceable player looks to be Morsy...

Not having a rigid starting 11 is also key, stops players getting tired and injured and allows squad players to always keep match ready.
Woolfy and Chappers the only 2 outfield players to play every league game this season?

Sometimes these radical changes and makeshift partnerships can work on the day. I am sure McKenna has a plan to ensure we can counter whatever line-up and system they choose to adopt. I am expecting them to play more along the lines of say a Huddersfield against us than a QPR. They will try and shut our game down and make it hard work. They know if play opens up, we will score.

When things look stacked against the opposition I usually think , hmmm 🤔 cue potential banana skin then …. In good ole traditional Town fortune. Hope not though.

Absolutely.

Under previous managers "Along came Ipswich" was very much the go to phrase

Might be a game for Freddy?? He's good with back to goal, as a board for others to play off if we struggle to get in behind them... And he may well have a point to prove against his old club, given the comments about his "attitude" , that were coming out of Rotherham, when he left...
I was thinking it could be like the Huddersfield game, too.

Yer, wasn’t it just. TWTD’s (not) weren’t they. I think we are a far more professional outfit these days, and with KMc attention detail, I’m hoping for another comprehensive performance from the boys in Blue…… but as we all know, “ it’s a funny ole game”!

Hutch too. Might be a game for a skiller rather than a pace merchant.
