Merson, like most of the Sky pundits, knows dick all about football outside the Prem (arguably he doesn't know much about footy at that level either). He'll be assuming Leicester will stay the course and we'll fade away purely on the basis that Leicester were a Prem side last season and we were in League 1. Of course it's possible we won't stay the course, it's a long season and a tough league, but we look a good side so assuming we will fall away is rather underestimating us. |  |

Exactly. Let people talk us down. All we've heard since February is 'the bubble will burst soon' and it's 'just a run of form' not even acknowledging that it was because we were a decent side. Let's face it, the back end of last season, we weren't just beating teams, we were destroying them.
I also get the feeling a lot of people are waiting for us to fall and getting a bit annoyed with us being all upstart like and if we drift into mid-table or even between 3-6th, we'll be labelled 'chokers'. |  |

I’m not sure we are on too many people’s radar. I suspect we are to those who know we exist a small fading club just out of League One that’s done nothing in decades. A bunch of upstarts with a decent coach and a little bit of promotion momentum and a few lucky wins that will soon evaporate. Nothing to see.
I doubt too many have much idea what’s been happening at ITFC or are interested - and that includes ignoramuses like Merson. Brilliant. I much prefer it that way. If or I think when they find out they are wrong it might be too late for them.
Looking at Millwall and Preston today (I was away for the last home game against PNE), I’m not seeing at anything special. We look significantly better than these. | | | |
