On and off the field today. Good counterpoint to how meteoric our rise has has been.

Think Corberan showed what can be done when you have a few seasons under your belt here and the players to match it. WBA were excellent and we weren't. Their gameplan and ability to shift into a really solid unit off the ball and hurt us on the break was superb.

Compare that to Leeds and their sheer spending power to overawe us, and the fact we've got so unprepared to lose and it throws down a real marker. How us, Leeds and Saints react after all stumbling will be crucial. I've seen nothing today to suggest we're no longer on the promotion path yet.

You just know McKenna will take apply the learning.

We could have a sticky patch this month/next (we might not). The key thing is we come out the other end stronger and kick on.

West Brom had obviously done their homework in how we play and setup pretty much perfectly to nullify us.

I’ve said in another thread that we’re going to need a plan B in some games.

Yeah but Burns and Jackson

A mate made a really obvious and insightful point as we watched it. Jackson had no space in behind so was pretty neutered - I guess had we had Hutchinson available we might have done more there. Burns was getting in good positions then reduced to walking and waiting for an opening as he only had Hirst in amongst 3 or 4.

How many teams have done that to us successfully?
