Currently away for new years. So first time logging in and missed the game. Clearly lots of posts to go through but to save me time.. a quick summary of the game please... I see we had lots of injuries.. did we have a chance of winning it or was it a bad game overall?
With 5 key players missing due to a perfect storm, injury, unexpected suspension and late illness it was always going to be difficult. Broadhead took part in the warm up but threw up in the dressing room.
Would have been a different result of Freddie had scored from either of his 1 on1’s early doors.
We will finish above Leeds but have a feeling Southampton may finish second. Still everything to play for.
I will always be a fan of Ladapo but if Hirst was playing we would have won.
We edged the game and had a couple of very good chances. The performance was disjointed but we never looked in much danger. It was just a reminder of how we are overachieving and need to upgrade some of the squad.
Overall I thought it was quite encouraging. Without 4 of our 5 most important players (IMO) we did ok. 3-4 upgrades in key positions and we will challenge again at the top if we do not go up this season.
