The more I see of the incident at WBA yesterday 07:51 - Jan 29 with 1952 viewsCheltenham_Blue

The more it starts to look like, the 'trouble' was being caused by about 50 WBA fans who spilled out of the Birmingham Road end and walked across the pitch, with no attempted intervention from stewards, to confront 1 or 2 Wolves fans who had managed to get themselves into the family enclosure.

Think it'll be WBA that come off worst in any FA sanctions.

Neither club has filled itself with glory, let's be honest

It looks like a few Wolves fans, possibly of the troublemaking sort had found tickets in the home end, they seemed to be in designer gear, I'm not saying they were hoolies but it looked like it might be deliberate too but then again Police spotters would probably know who they are and they shouldn't have been allowed into the stadium with that being the case

There's clearly been a failure in West Brom intelligence to stop people getting in

It's down to West Brom to maintain security in the stadium

Thank god Ipswich and Norwich whilst a big rivalry, hasn't descended into this kind of carnage in modern times

I guess the Thursday night game wasn't so pretty outside the stadium though

In the last couple of years and post lockdowns etc. there seems to be a lot more trouble and not just limited to England.

Think the Euros in Germany will be a mess.

Football fights and disturbances seem to form good click bait and bragging rights on social media apps.

With some feeds playing a bit of a 'isn't this terrible' stance, whilst reeling in the large click volumes. For some its becoming attractive to start or be involved in incidents, so they can record and distribute.

Also at away games such as Huddersfield or one some of the viral videos, the age of the protagonists is very young. Again egged by what they see on-line. You'll have what look like 12-13 year olds calling you out people in the away end for a fight! nuts.

Quite, looks like had they just left the police and stewards to deal with a handful of Wolves fans then not much would have happened.

Still, as Bloots said yesterday, takes some attention away from us which is a good thing this weekend.
