That isn't what happens in reality.

My OH has given away (or more recently resold) her ticket at least 10 times this season in SBRL, maybe more. Not once have I had anyone sit next to me

I would worry more about the occasions when she hasn't given it away or sold it if you haven't had anyone sit next to you even once.
