I know that a journalist never reveals their sources but out of curiosity, what makes today's story on KM more tangible/reportable than some of the other rumour and innuendo we've been seeing.
As yet, KM has signed nothing and seems like another what if in the rollercoaster of KM's destination - though I know you like to have some degree of tangibility before you report something.

It really isn't from a place of doubt but curiosity in the processes that Phil goes through to determine how qualitive information is when he gets it. | |

I've had my own sources confirm that it's where it's at, so it is exactly where I've reported it is. Obviously there's a risk that things can change before something's signed, but I don't get the impression that's going to happen.
Also the nationals aren't all running the same thing by coincidence, that's clearly what the agent is now telling them. |  | | |

The fact that this is from his agents is giving me dark thoughts they are doing this to try and tempt United to make up their mind quicker. I'm not celebrating until I see that pic of Ashton with a stupid gurning smile leaning over McKenna with a pen in hand.

Yes, I think they're just reflecting what's happening in this instance rather than it being a manoeuvre. And my sources aren't agents, and they've given me good info up to now on this and other things.

How does this all work from here then Phil? Will yourself and EADT get prior notice from the club that an announcement is coming and release stories at the same time, or will you hear when the club make the announcement?
With regards to transfer rumours, do you have someone at the club you go to in order to ratify them in order to stop the speculation that MA has alluded to previously? | |
