Went to a Tin Tin shop in Belgium once. Grandchildren have them all, but a couple of them are a bit iffy seen in light of today's judgements. While in Belgium I also encountered the claim to have invented chips, a claim the Dutch dispute. Roadside vans were doing roaring trade in chips doused with mayonnaise - unless it was the stuff that made Tin-Tin's hair stand on end!

Tintin was made in the 1960s and it’s of it’s time. It’s as simple as that. Judging yesterday by today’s standards is now default setting for many, but it isn’t for me.
The kit is/was fun. Nothing more than that and nothing wrong with it in my view.
Who did invent chips? I thought it was the Germans. Oh well.

Don't disgree with not judging the past by the present. You just need to be ready to help the kids out at a couple of points where there really is an unthinking racial hierarchy in view.
