I’ve just spoken to Tom in the ticket office and he’s confirmed that, indeed, that’s how it’s going to work.
For home games people who want to sit with each other (whether it’s adult/child groups or groups of adults) make one joint application to go in the ballot. The people in your joint application must be listed as family/friends in your account. “Within reason” there’s no maximum group size. In the ballot you’re either all successful or none of you are successful.
This seems like the most sensible way forward although I’m surprised the club didn’t include this on their Q&A.

I just saw someone on Twitter saying they went to 2 aways and loads of home games - has 17 points. Surely this isn’t right - he gets to buy tickets in the 15+ category for away games, yet went to only 2 last season… doesn’t seem right they are all bundled into one.

Buying tickets for and actually going to games are 2 different things...

But it could be if they did 5 away games the season before

2 x 5 points for memberships
2 away last season 2 points
5 away the season before 5 points.

That would give someone 17 APP by only doing 2 aways last season

yes I just got this back by email from the ticket office:

Thank you for your email.

I can confirm all members/friends and family enter the ballot as one group, as if you are all successful you can book in together – you would not need to join separately.

Further details regarding the ballot will be communicated in due course.
