Mmmm? 15:09 - Aug 2 with 2065 views | PortobelloBlu | O'Leary leaving and the CEO taking on the chairman role as well ... Now the Gladbach debacle ... ... in the space of as many days Over the last two years I've enjoyed reading about every single aspect of our club, as they illustrate the new DNA/spirit Ashton & KMcK have instilled throughout it - for me, these two 'events' jar, and don't seem to be in keeping with that spirit. I wonder what Pat Godbold makes of it?

Mmmm? on 20:30 - Aug 2 with 1117 views | Facefacts | I hope your post is probably a little ironic, but, as pressure mounts the club will be forced to make decisions more quickly than it has been used to. Losing Mike O'Leary won't help with that, but the club doesn't have the time to carefully select a successor. The timing of his exit may have been agreed at the outset of the takeover. Likely to be a decision made on the basis of age, or can no longer enjoy the ride. Hope it was considered carefully and not because of a fall out. There's a lot of money at stake and we don't have the Premier League infrastructure yet. Everything is a race against time, while trying to present a united front to supporters. We have to support this unity as it's a big thing for the team to have that unity when they then rely on the 12th man to roar them to the last minute equaliser or even winner. The biggest job Kieran McKenna has to do is keep that unity going within the players, when newcomers are joining. I don't think there's any way we would ever have got all our backroom, coaching and playing staff, plus the stadium, ready in such a short time. Just have to keep hoping that no rift has developed at the top and that Mark Ashton can manage to get some more deals over the line. But, there are sooooo many obstacles: Sky attitude, Don Goodman, to us has permeated everywhere, targeted players will be put off, as we were 'so lucky to go up and will go straight back down' Envy, jealously, horrible nasty clubs who think they should be where we are, on the up, a breath of fresh air, putting spanners in our works, and sticks in our bicycle spokes, doing anything to stop us, eg Szmodics will we ever get him from these timewasters, Hutchinson injured by arrogant and stale Chelsea when he went back. We are trying not to overpay but until the last couple of days of the window, I think we need to continue to do just that, overpay, to get more players in. Easy to say and very hard to identify the players we might end up with.
