How are our boys doing? on 18:46 - Sep 7 with 2321 views | Nutkins_Return | Personally think Ogbene and Szmodics have been the stand outs for Ireland. But I've only watched 2nd half and Ireland have been good. Good example of why McKenna wanted O'Shea a minute ago. Gibbs-White slotted through and O'Shea afterburners got there first and Gibbs white then wiped him out. We have a seriously quick team. O'Shea/Wolf will be interesting. Will O'Shea just take his spot or will McKenna use their attributes against different opposition. Against pace O'Shea will defo play I would think. He's also good at attacking corners despite not being a huge CB (6ft 1). Good weapon.

He was the Irish player of the match. Personally I thought Kelleher was the stand out player and kept the score down. Some excellent saves albeit got lucky on 2.

If we've learnt anything from McKenna, it's that he will play certain defenders to stop certain strikers. I don't agree with this notion that Woolfy will be permanently replaced. He may be replaced if McKenna believes O'Shea will defend better against the next opposition, similar to Edmundson last season.

How are our boys doing? on 20:15 - Sep 7 with 1888 views | BloomBlue | Didn't do too bad. Ogbene some nice attacking runs, causing England issues with his pace, but inconsistent final ball. Szmodics - having a good game, keeps running trying to find space. O'Shea - not great in the first half, but to be fare, the entire Ireland defence was overrun with England's pace, 2nd half he looked better, but England had dropped down a gear.

Rice was my MOTM by a mile. All three Town players had a good second half. There was audible excitement from the home crowd when Szmodics got the ball in advanced areas.

On BBC website, public voted Grealish as MOTM, although I'm going to guess probably more English fans voted. Ogbene was voted 2nd best in the Ireland team behind Kelleher, Szmodics was voted 3rd best. Unfortunately O'Shea had the lowest score.
