I saw him playing for Somerset at Northampton recently. He’s meant to be a good prospect along with Rocky Flintoff who apparently plays like his dad. Mike Atherton’s 21 year old son Josh plays for Middlesex.
I was at Taunton the week before last and was very impressed with both Archie's batting and bowling. He had an air of calm about him all the time.
He also has a most unusual run-up and bowling action. You have to see the whole thing from his first step to appreciate this. In my experience it is unique, and unlike most people on here I do understand the true meaning of the word unique. It does not mean unusual or even very unusual. [Sorry for the lecture.]
