Result expectations over the next few weeks 12:15 - Sep 13 with 1631 viewsbaxterbasics

I don't think it is far fetched to expect we get 3 points at Southampton or home Vs Everton. Those may be our only wins for a while though. Pick up one or two draws on top and we should go into November still outside the relly zone with a little room to spare. Fingers crossed.

It'll take at least 10 games for Man City to overtake us.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

We’re in a run of 6 ‘easier’ (ha!) games. 1 point from the first one against Fulham so far. I don’t like points targets, but we probably need somewhere close to 9 points from those 6 games to show we can compete. A point a game would have easily seen a team safe last year, but given the way our luck runs it’ll be a record points total this season to survive. Assuming we get nothing from the better teams (being pessimistic), I’d say we need to average 1.5 pts/game from the poorer teams. Not that it’ll play out like that of course.

It’s a shame we didn’t get the win against Fulham. We played well enough to.

(Reading that back it sounds high. I’d probably take 6pts to be honest, especially as we’re still adjusting and jellying).

Funny how everyone thinks we are going to take 3 pts from southampton, i don’t see that, it will be extremely tough to do that.

I think we have to approach every game trying to win it and pretty much the same, if we play really well we can take 3 pts from any of those games so for me the question is how consistent can our performance be.

I think we are still gelling so i think 6 pts from 15 will be a great return.

I don’t think everyone thinks we’ll take points from Southampton, however, living not too far away I keep a close eye on things at SM and all is not well, Martin is not particularly well liked, his over criticism of his own players is harsh at times. For me, they will see the fixture against us as one they must take points from and out of the Two managers and teams currently I think we’ll have the edge.

One point every three games and toddlers on here throwing toys out of pram and demanding more signings.

Players x, y and z are useless and need shipping out.
