Harwood Bellis played nearly an hour of their last away league match and came off the bench for them at the weekend and with Stephens suspended against us will he play presumably? Ugochukwu played last match. Armstrong started their first 3 matches and was one of their best players last season but was dropped for Saturday in favour of Cameron Archer and didn't even come off the bench. (FURTHER EDIT: Forget this bit ... Broja is with Everton isn't he!) Broja might be fit for our match. Cornet, Fraser and Lallana all came off the bench for 30 minutes on Saturday. EDIT: Just moticed Aribo is playing too and also played all of their first 3 but was dropped on Saturday.
In short, it looks like several of that Southampton team will play some part against us but probably only 1 or 2 of them will start. EDIT: Also looks like Martin has changed the team up a bit last match probably because he isn't happy with the team. [Post edited 17 Sep 2024 21:01]

Bretrton Diaz & Downes have come on as subs, Southampton 75% possession but fewer shot and fewer corners than Everton.
Hope it goes to penalties, and they have a long journey home with plenty of diversions due to overnight closures. |  |
