Post-match fighting at Kew Bridge station 09:05 - Oct 27 with 3896 viewstpsontour

I was at Kew Bridge Station just before 7.

Two relatively small sets of fans on opposite platforms. Theirs started singing '2-0 and you f***ed it up', leading to the usual posturing from ours about come over here and say that and back and forth taunts and threats. Then a few scrotes from our support piled over the bridge and waded in, punching or pushing two of their fans off the platform and onto the tracks - with a train due in any moment.

The station staff did nothing. There wasn't much they could do as the fighting went on for a good five minutes with women screaming. No police in sight. Luckily the train turned up slightly late.

This was almost two hours after the game finished. Pretty pathetic

Just the one in my eyes.

Both sides engaging in some fairly typical banter, except one side decided that it hurt their fragile sense of masculinity and, apparently, warranted shoving some opposition fans onto a live railway line.

I'm pretty sure that part of the network is third-rail electrified, so it had the potential to be fatal, train or not.

….that ended up on the tracks, well at least one of them was.

There was actually a car full of rozzers parked at the station entrance, but they just left them to it.

Totally embarrassing really.

Extraoardinary attitude.

Why would anyone want to be supplicant to thugs and criminals and buy into the ridiculous notion that there is something wrong with doing something about their behaviour?

Yes, I noticed that stations had warning signs about electric rails on the way there.

So as far as I can make out two sets of fans gave it the old ‘come and have a go if you think you are hard enough’ a bit of afters took place and that was that.

Film if you want, but it’s a bit sad. Nearly as sad as fighting.

What’s sad Filming someone endangering life and then reporting it to police? Sounds ok to me.
Or you could do nothing and moan about it on a footie forum the next day!

From what I gather, it wasn’t filmed, and then moaned about.
So, exactly what you said

Not nearly as sad as having opportunity to do something about obnoxious behaviour and turning a cowardly blind eye because you have been taken in by the concept of "grassing". An idea propagated by crooks and thugs to protect themselves, and accepted / adopted by the simple minded.
