I seem to remember him being uninterested and ineffectual with a poor attitude for Southampton when they were relegated. Got rid of last year by Arsenal on a free transfer. Yeah they're in financial trouble and have to raise funds or they'll be demoted to Ligue 2. Maybe Maitland-Niles isn't right but was trying to find someone who has Prem experience and can slot into a number of roles without necessarily expecting to usurp our current first-teamers (like Axel) | |
