4231 has got us so far but do we have the personnel to get the most of it against the better sides in this league?

I would say no and a switch to a 541 or variations of it, would at least help us defensively, it's not like we have been ripping it up going forward is it.

I'm fairly sure we went through a phase of experimenting with the overlapping centre back system as well so it's not like McKenna hasn't implemented it before

It's not a drastic shift in system, it just relies on picking sides off on the counter a little bit more

Yeah it could. Or a bit of a hybrid of both depending on whether we’ve got the ball and where. Gives us options.

I'd guess the usual 4-2-3-1 with O'Shea at RB. If we were playing 3 at the back we'd surely have kept Burgess in rather than put Woolfy back in

I think it’ll be 5 at the back out of possession with Johnson & Leif in particular having licence to roam when we’ve got the ball


I think Burgess is having his minutes managed at the moment in terms of not being 100% fit

That seems the most likely

Personally I'd prefer us defending as a 541 and maybe 3421 in transition
