I know it's one of the biggest derbies in world football but I struggle to get up for it when they play each other every two seconds. Boring!

Bigger problem is lack of away fans. The atmosphere was the main reason for watching.

Celtic and Rangers play in their own mini-league of two and the rest fight it out for third.

Apparently only 3 Scottish players were in the 22 that started the game.

Today was the last time without away fans, apparently

Aberdeen's drop-off has been quite spectacular.

Matching Celtic blow-for-blow for a good chunk of the first part of the season, until early November. Three points from the following nine games, and now down to fourth, sixteen points behind Celtic.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Probably in keeping with a lot of high-profile derbies in the PL in terms of English players.

Yep. Just a Quick Look at Spurs v Arsenal from earlier in the season; between them they only had Maddison, Saka and Ben White starting. Probably fairly normal.

I don't think they'll ever return to the old allocations for away fans like they used to. It will only be a token allocation, not like the old 8,000 or so they used to offer.

Well Celtic are sitting in the Champions League a place above Manchester City if you need a benchmark...

If both clubs were parachuted into the PL then both will face the real prospect of relegation. However given time, Celtic will blow most teams out of the water in terms of finances - they have a massive fan base and will appeal to the big hitters in the USA.

I am not sure there is much in it when it comes to the fan base given, according to estimates, Celtic took 80,000 supporters to the UEFA Cup final in Seville, and Rangers took 100,000 to their UEFA Cup final there.

And there were 150,000-200,000 Rangers fans at the final in Manchester, including the taxi driver who took us to the station in Liverpool a couple of months ago.

Celtic (once) and Rangers (twice) have also reached the UEFA Cup/Europa League final this century.

That's without the finances and competition of the Premier League.
