Going to be a vital player for England in the future. Arsenal have got an absolute gem on their hands.

What are you basing that on? Sky were hyping him up before the game and he's got a goal against Brighton, where the defence went missing and it tickled under the goalie who should do better.

I've not seen anything this game to suggest what you're saying?

I’d suggest his record for England at multiple age groups, the fact that Arteta and others at Arsenal all keep singing his praises, plus the fact he has already notched up 12 appearances in the PL scoring twice for Arsenal, competing with established international players all are key indicators that this lad is something.

I'm basing on an Arsenal fan I know who has seen him play many times and reckons he will be a star. He has watched hundreds of Arsenal players and rates this kid at the very top. I respect his views. The England coaches rate him too. It was his goal tonight that prompted the post.

He has the potential, no doubt about it. Unfortunately for him, once Saka is fit, he will need to find a place in the starting X1. Looks promising though.

Unfortunately that does always turn into "Going to be a vital player for England in the future".

Surely Saka when he's back is going to stunt his progression unless he's going to be better than him?

One I remember is Martial coming to man utd and lots of people labelling him "the new Thierry Henry". Doesn't always work out despite initial promise.

For every person saying he was the new Henry there were at least another 5 saying what a ridiculous fee it was for a teenager who had scored a handful of goals at Monaco. I definitely don't remember there being too much hype about him
