My biggest concern at the moment is our collapse on conceding... 19:05 - Jan 19 with 1401 viewspointofblue

That's the second game in a row where we've been in a game, conceded a goal then immediately fell apart. I'm not sure why we've struggled to regroup - to at least maintain some stability and respectability - just after letting a goal in. Is it due to the strength of the opposition, the season starting to get to players, a lack of shape as we immediately chase an equaliser? If we can sort it out our chances of survival with improve no end.

We've bought mainly young, inexperienced players, and it shows at times.

Biggest concern for me apart from what you’ve written is our ability to look totally vulnerable on the break

Game after game we’re in the opposition half , we loose it and bang ! If we don’t concede we’re defending a corner

I suppose at this level mistakes are there to be taken advantage of

We do look incredibly fragile and vulnerable way too often. Levels, journey, process… At some point it’s also about desire and work rate.

I suppose it has been an issue all season, it just hasn't stood out to the degree as it has against Brighton and Manchester City. On Thursday and today it was sad to see how the game swung as soon as we let a goal in.

I agree with Metal_Hacker as well. When we lose possession defending the edge of our box in a blink of the eye.

We need better players in the middle of the pitch to win the ball back again or at least slow the opposition breaks down. We’re not quick enough or strong enough in that area at the moment.
Easier said than done though.

No Phillips today of course, we'd likely have been better if he'd been on.

I think you’ll find when a team of football players, plays another team with 11 better players this is kind of what happens.

I don’t think he’s been anywhere near good enough to be honest. He’s shown a bit of form in patches but overall he’s been disappointing.

Now I was always a little agricultural as a player but the odd "hard" challenge wouldn't go amiss.

No one can argue with the results, but I think our central midfield has been our main weakness since McKenna took over. We're very easy to play through.
