Dows make you wonder 21:43 - Jan 22 with 1654 views | MVBlue | Why did Pep lay his strongest side against us? Losing 3-2 against PSG. When drawing 2-2 he brought off KDB and Kocahcic. Then they start losing. Why did he not rest some players? They are doing worse in the Champions League... Could be going out or into playoffs at any rate. Think hes cut himself short.

Theyve been run ragged second half at PSG. Ran out of ability to contain the match.

That's nothing to do with the stroll in the park on Sunday, where they took their key players off on 60 mins.

its still minutes in the legs though, that the body then needs recovery time from, how ever easy they made it look, it takes effort to play at the level they do even for an hour, theyve only really had 2 clear rest days, PSG had 3, then you add in travel, did they go back to Manchester after the game, did they stay down here because it was then easier to travel to Paris, etc etc etc. lots of little things do add up, and considering last time in the Prem, teams in Champions league midweek matches always used to play their second string 11 against us.
Dows make you wonder on 22:55 - Jan 22 with 1158 views | pointofblue | In hindsight, he probably would have rested players against us. But I doubt he went into the game with the knowledge Town would be such a pushover (see the performances against Liverpool, Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United, even Brighton up to the hour mark. They easily outnumber the one collapse against Newcastle).

I'm not buying it. Especially with a 1 hour flight in a private plane. Fatigue was not a factor. You could argue the match was great for their confidence and morale. Agree to differ. [Post edited 22 Jan 23:11]

Dows make you wonder on 09:50 - Jan 23 with 571 views | bsw72 | He knows they are not good enough to win the Champions League, so to guarantee CL football next year they have to finish top 4. With Liverpool almost certain to finish top 4, it leaves a shoot-out between Forest, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Man City for the 3 remaining spots. His focus is the league and therefore his strongest teams will be played in the league going forward. [Post edited 23 Jan 9:51]
