I fancy getting back on the green baize again - bar the various social clubs around Town, is Bears my only snooker club option now?

TIA

Snooker is a dying game in Britain, isn't it? Youngsters naturally prefer pool.

I think Chinese students are keeping it alive at Stepney green where I play, although the pool tables in there are always busy too.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

I used to love snooker and was not a bad player. Could amass a 50 or 60 break. My eyes are b'ggered now though and the balls are all blurry. Tried playing with my specs but they're not designed for snooker and I am looking over the frames which doesnt help at all. I'd need some Dennis Taylor specs if I was going to get back into it

The Meadlands Sports and Social Club in Stowmarket is pretty good if you dont mind travelling down the A14. You do have to pay for an annual membership though. They have 4 tables and are £4 ph.

I used to play a bit & whIle wouldn't have been near your level ( typical max break 20-30)i used to enjoy the game, but after several bouts of eye surgery my vision isn't up to playing at even a reasonable standard.

I go to Bears (used to go to Q Ball back in the day). Think Premier Pool Club on Duke St relaunched as Premier Sports Lounge a few years ago too, though I've to been since then. Think that was also the site of the erstwhile Neptune snooker club.
