Its very good news, they're strong. Get Leeds & Burnley up, hopefully Sheff United in the playoffs. Big points deduction for Leicester too hopefully. Also Cardiff relegated at the other end, I don't like them.

Leeds are clearly far too good for the championship, but they don't look to have a huge amount of physicality to them, and you could see them really struggling against the sort of teams that have bullied us this season.

Sadly I think all 3 promoted teams will struggle next season. I say sadly, I won't lose too much sleep if Leeds get humped every week, but its not good for the game. Leeds at least have a bit more fear factor to them at Elland Road. I hope they recruit well and make a fist of it tbh.

The other problem Leeds will have is that, much like us last season, their game is about overwhelming opponents by playing a high intensity/high press game. You can't do that in the Premier League without being punished brutally - as we have found when trying to play that way in a lot of home games.

Leicester should definitely have at least 10pts after they avoided it by getting promoted last time round. We have no excuses for not challenging top 2 next season, as Burnley and Sheff Utd have shown this. Combination of our manager and parachute payments is a huge advantage/cheat code [Post edited 21 Apr 15:47]

Anything but promotion next season - and it really should be via the top two - will be a failure, considering what we managed without £150m worth of signings (albeit that may go down below £100m post summer sales but still).

It would be good for us if someone managed to stay up next year too. If we get promoted next season, the 26/27 season could have 17 teams with a minimum of 5 seasons in the prem. Its been bad enough this year where it's 3 seasons.

Wrexham play Charlton next too. Might be one game too many to make up for Charlton though given the 4 point gap

I know it was only one game, but our second XI overpowered a very good Coventry side in the cup. The gap between even a team with one season in the PL and the others is significant and for once we appear to be on the right side of the imbalance
At least we won’t have Leeds to play next season on 17:06 - Apr 21 with 819 views | TheBoyBlue | Best case scenario for us if Leeds, Burnley and Sheffield United go up. And good on 'em. For all that of course we reveled in their setbacks last season as it meant promotion for us, unless it is at our expense or it is Norwich I enjoy getting to this stage of the season and watching fans celebrating promotion or securing safety. It's quite warming really. [Post edited 21 Apr 18:06]

Fair play to Leeds. They were the best side we faced last season. Looking back at our failings in those two games should have raised an alarm. Perhaps it's been better for them to stay down for an extra season. I'm not so sure we'll find it easy next season. Totally different psychological scenario. I'm happy if we rebuild & take our time.
