Very underrated, I think he would be our first choice if available today in all but footwork which was not a requirement in those days. Against Lazio away I think it was Viljoen that sort cover behind him after scoring, he was a big bloke and the Italians did not fancy their chances. | | | |

The burden of, or excuse for, the article was a "let's give a collective sigh of relief that H Kane has finally won something". Just thinking of our own winners made me think that it's not uncommon to be a first-time winner at 30. In the years after football resumed in the period 1945-1950 every trophy winner would have contained quite a few. | |
