Russia are a little too financially entwined with the current Israel regime, but I don't think it's far off that it makes more political sense for Putin to make a statement in Israel so that he comes across like the ethical statesman where the "west" isn't. Not that I think it would be sincere, just a political calculation, and also a total embarrassment on the UK, US and EU.

I am with you, absolutely gobsmacked at the indifference and lack of real action shown by the world leaders. These are the people that are supposed to lead by example. Why nobody is putting more pressure on them I don't know. The history in that region is long and complicated with many nuances, however basic humanity should have kicked in long ago. Oh we will sanction Israel they say? Fook that, how about we stood giving them weapons for them to use in this aggression? How about we make them accountable for their actions. It's clear their plan now is to eradicate Gaza, incorporate it into Israel, displace the current population. The irony here is absolutely off the scale

However whatever side of the equation you're on people starving is deplorable

I raised my concerns a while ago on this board, engaging on what I thought was healthy debate. I basically got called a racist because I was going against Israel and their aggression. Fun times

We will see, for how long, that's my question? Once the mask slips, it's often difficult to put it back on and cover the whole face. That poster is on ignore these days, life is much easier.
