I'm hoping that when he says he's not across it all:
(1) he means that he's not across the everyday detail of negotiations, rather than not being across the detail of deciding what players to target and why; and
(2) he's possibly trying to deflect the question so that he doesn't have to reveal too much.
But it's understandable and justifiable to ask questions and hold the club to account. Let's see what happens before the end of the window... |  | | |
