Didn't Cook back down because Mike Walker came back to Norwich and they offered him an improved deal? Don't remember it being anything to do with the grief he got

Different situation, Crook re-signing was not down to the media hype.
Crook had been at Norwich for 8+ years and was unhappy under Megson and so let his contract expire and was available on a freeby. Mike Walker then came back to Norwich after Megson was sacked and with the relationship he had with Crook persuaded him to stay, with an improved contract offer.
Nunez is a transfer, if Norwich turn this down then they will almost certainly have to sell Sargent, plus Nunez has already turned down new contract offers from Norwich but I doubt they can offer him what we can with our current financial backing . . . |  | | |

Would the vitriol not perhaps spur him to go ahead with the move? After all, it's coming from their side, not ours. Town fans have been surprisingly welcoming towards the idea of an incoming Norwich player. |  |

I actually think it's pretty massive. He's a very creative player and excellent on the ball, which I think we've really missed the past two games. Someone who can unlock defences. |  |
