For all the ins and outs this season... 00:24 - Aug 30 with 1072 viewsvilanovablue

... Many of which have been hard to stomach. This feels like a very smart transfer window with some potentially smart signings? Are the back room data bods getting better? It all just feels quite encouraging.

I still miss Hutch though.

But yes the last few days takes the sting out a bit.

Seems like a timing thing now. Can we getting people up to speed quickly enough?

It’s a marathon not a sprint. A slow start though not great is not the end of the world. I would prefer the games we lose to be early in the season while the team gets up to speed rather than when we are at full strength.

Of course, we all want to do well. I just have my fingers crossed that players settle quickly and fans support the team as they settle.

Let’s wait and see how they and us play. We all thought we’d significantly upgraded already at this level, but there’s something missing.

I feel, personslly, I've learnt a lot following our season in the PL and the sheer lunacy ( as i see it) of players in and then jumping ship as soon as another offer comes in.

I've actually lowered my expectations of professional footballers now. Im now like the club. I see them merrily as commodities eith a sell on value, and that at best they are a couple of seasons a Town player before we " cash in" and move on. I think this mentality will help me cope with the modern game better now.

Im REALLY looking forward to this new squad bedding in snd doing their jingle this season. If we go up, brilliant. If the players stay ( if we go up of course they will!) But if we then go down and they leave, cash in. Move on.

Other than Morsy leaving, it’s been a good window.

RIP Sir Bobby
