Most of the exponents last night have been playing all season ( philogene, Davis, Clarke ) , if they had deployed the pace they showed last night with the quick pass and move attacks against the low block , let's be honest , they would have annihilated both Preston and Derby.
Having said that , last night was a wonderful confidence booster for just about everyone involved. Matusiwa and Cajuste must have brought back memories of Morsy and Luongo at their best and Philogene was the player everyone hoped he would be when we signed him.
Sheffield are not going to be involved at the top end of the league, at least not with the current manager. And stiffer tests are to come, but the clean sheet is certainly something to build on , Blackburn will be much more wary of us next week . |  |
