Hopefully all the 'the club is in a death spiral' Johnny come latelys can take up a respectful silence now.
So many things to like but the main thing was it felt, even with so little time, that KM has already made a stamp on the side. It felt like us tonight. Felt like KM's second side is coming together.
Jaden superb. But I was nearly as excited by Matusiwa tonight. What a player.
Really pleased for Hirst. It was his work that set up Jaden's second. A bit of luck with his first goal. But well taken. Second should have stood. Great finish.
Furlong - so assured. A really smart signing. Nunez - love the Steve Claridge socks. Not lacking in confidence... Love how he wants to play forward immediately. Free kick close.
That bench is scary at this level. How will teams live with us?
Blades poor especially once we got the second but I thought we really got into our rhythm tonight.

Agreed! Matusiwa uncannily like Morsy. Patterns and team movement much more like us. Felt like watching the 22-24 side with the new players understanding it.

Agree with all of that... But most notably, for me, during KM's Sky interview. He made a point of saying that there was "a different vibe" around the place this week.... Getting rid of some neggy dead wood, has lifted the place, by the looks of things. As we knew it would. The clean sheet will do the back line a world of good, too. Furlong and Matusiwa were really good tonight. Doing a lot of the unsexy stuff.

Yes. No doubt having the settled squad here now must make things easier.
Completely agree re Furlong and Matusiwa. Huge shift from both. Azor is a superb player. They both broke up play and released the ball so wiell.

There've been a few overly negative posters for sure, but I think that's a bit ott tbh.
Agree with your second para particularly, really great work by KM which reassuringly shows he *is* willing and able to be flexible & change things if necessary.
One swallow does not make a summer but anyone who watched the first matches will have seen they were games of small margins and we were not far away from clicking. With reinforcements now in too, I think we are in a great place but a lot does rest on Philogene, Clarke, and/or others consistently performing well. Let's hope last night was the springboard for that. I have said it a few times but if we get the best out of all of our players we have a colossal amount of goals in the team.
