Struggled first half to find any rhythm, lacked any real intensity and our passing was poor. Second half, Wednesday’s five minute spell aside, played with good energy, pace and width and could and should have had a hatful of goals.
It’s a funny old game.
Third in the table, some tough games looming but I’m quietly confident we’ll be top two come the end of the season.

Typical Championship. Some teams look good in moments and then hopeless the next. We were more of the former and they were more of the latter. Apart from a very brief spell after they scored which was also around the time we were making the subs, they didn’t bother us. We huffed and puffed a bit, looked good a bit, and failed to capitalise on our dominance a bit. It could have been 4 or 5, but we’d have had the same number of points. |  |

Not much we could learn from today was there? Results went our way, we got the win, no one really stood out as anything we haven't seen before.
Same scapegoats, same favourites, same real approach as most home games. 5pts off second, January to come we've got to inject a bit more cash, fight and quality into this squad etc.
Don't think we can grumble about much beyond the Hirst injury or celebrate some of the squad still not hitting their stride can we? |  |

Agree fully with that summary of the game. Could and should have had a hatful in the end, but it's another 3 points in the bag.
