…. at club FA exit narrative.

Yes obviously it has been positive to remove a potential further fixture log jam… but Leicester could have quite easily beaten The Saints (and almost did) and we’d have that anyway

I think he’d have been OK making it through to the next round as these fringe players need sharpening

I think he’ll be genuinely disappointed in how well the fringe players/subs fared - I don’t think any of that group of players in anyway staked a claim to come into his plans. Which is disappointing given the fixture load incoming. Egeli, Hirst and Cajuste were really give a chance to shine and they were outfought by Wrexham, who simply wanted it more.

As for ‘throwing the game’ - do you bring in 5 first teamers as subs if you don’t want to make a go of it?

Anyway don’t think it’s quite as black and white as some are saying.

My final thoughts are McKenna made an error in playing Baggot at left back and greaves and left centre… should have been the other way round

Wrexham had a settled back line… but ahead of that their changed players settled better and wanted it more. I think the league fixture is going to be tough.

Thanks goodness we have Nunez and Philogene to come back, given how poorly our second string attackers fared. Although I do think Akpom and McAteer had moments.

It’s not really a narrative but more the collective rambling thoughts of trolls, dinosaurs and imbeciles.

I get you have to give the slightest hint of criticism to pretend you have credibility, but honestly none of it is that big of a deal.

People were pissed off/bemused because we played so badly and were timid for large parts of the game. The league is the focus and we are behind the curve there. He needs to make up the ground in the auto places and recruitment hasn’t gone quite to plan so it’s pretty clear where the onus lies.
