Sheffield Wednesday will be relegated today if West Brom win v Coventry.

Would that be the earliest a team has been mathematically relegated?

"However, few would have thought relegation could come quite as early as this and, to make matters worse, it could in fact now be confirmed at bitter cross-city rivals Sheffield United on Sunday."

Ouch! That's got to hurt.

Obs want Cov to lose, but would take a draw too, knowing the blades will get to relegate them tomorrow lunch time.

Used to watch Utd occasionally when living in Sheffield with Agana and Deane up front under Harry Bassett and know how much they would enjoy it.

Once they're relegated, I wonder how much their lack of fear will impact their remaining games.
They could easily start winning.

Tho it is rather an artificial situation, as they have been mightily clobbered with an accumulation of penalties - and for underspending*, not exceeding funding limits. Which was the fault of Chansiri, not the club as it now is.
