Still hope for autos. I remember the missus saying 2 years ago, do you fancy going to Jersey with friends. She was asking about mid Feb and when I looked at the table I could only see playoffs. The weekend in question was the last game of the season and the thought of sitting there knowing we still had the playoffs just didn’t appeal, so said yeah let’s go. (Also meant keeping the playoff final weekend free).
(We also ended up away for the infamous home game against Southampton (ironically we were staying a mile from Southampton), it was that game that I knew we’d do it.)
How it all changed. Ended up in a jersey pub full of Leeds fans on the last game of the season to see us get over the line. Missed that day at PR but flew back Monday for the awards dinner and celebrations etc. |  |
