Make the punishment fit the crime? 13:49 - Jul 29 with 830 viewsBent_double

Brazilian player injures an opponent during a game, fracturing his leg, and is subsequently banned for as long as it takes the player to recover, upto 6 months. Could be an interesting move.

A good idea for anything deliberate, but how to prove intent? It also gets complicated if the recovering player has a set back and has got to prove it’s related to the injury. It sounds like a potential legal nightmare the more so think about it.
