Rare blips Keeper has been great prior to the Liverpool game so lets not dwell on that too much. Palacios got into the game after 25 mins and you could see the quality. Exciting times as long as they can keep their heads. [Post edited 5 Sep 14:57]

Encisco did plenty of good things too though faded second half. Must be a nightmare to play against. Dara is no full back and was caught out and left exposed. Diop? I need to see the game back to take a view on him and Greaves.

Liked his work thought he really grew in to the game, excited to see more of him. Think you are being generous elsewhere. Dara I feel sorry for, he’s not a right back and feel like we could really use his pace if he played more central. Greaves and Diop are absolutely fine dealing with balls in to the box, both strong in the air and do that well. They look absolutely lost when teams play in behind them, Diop needs to stop stepping out when the ball isn’t there to be won and Greaves needs to know what’s around him, too many times he loses his man who has run off him. This was an issue in the Championship as well. Keeper was fine vs Sunderland. Ok enough vs United but got caught in no man’s land for one of the goals. Was bad last night should’ve done better with both goals. Jury is out on him but certainly wouldn’t be dropping him yet. Easier game next week so hopefully we’ve learnt from these 2 games.

I’ve got concerns about Diop. He gets caught out of position and lets people run off his shoulder. Cunha was his man, Greaves was on the cover when he gave the pen away. 4th goal he stops and lets Fernandes run off him. Isak’s 2nd is down his side with Greaves again coming over to cover. One point in the first half he passes Isak onto Dara when he should have been his man. Wins good headers in a crowded box but in open play with people running at us he’s causing more problems than he’s solving at the moment.

Nobody was booing inside the ground. You don’t always need to be signalling your own virtue as a fan. People are allowed to be concerned.

We've just signed a world cup winning champions League international midfielder. We've got the most exciting squad we've had for years. We're well run and well backed. We've taken 3 points from tough opening 3 games. We've got a manager who is decent and positive. What on earth is there to be concerned about? It's the PL. Getting beaten 2-0 by Liverpool is going to happen for a while more often than not if we stay in this league. If yesterday had been a shambles then fine. Moan away. But it wasn't. We played some good football. It's as simple as that. GON will be well aware of how we need to improve. But there were positives. People seem determined to ignore them.
