The O'Shea right back thing 12:49 - Sep 7 with 1127 viewsGarv

What's more of a problem, him playing right back or him not playing centre half?

I think it's more the latter personally.

Agreed.

He hasn’t actually done that bad at RB, but he’s a better option than Greaves at CB for sure.

Yes I agree, him alongside Diop at CB would be far more preferable. It was originally said that Outtara was brought in as a FB, yet so far only seems to be used as a midfielder despite being stacked with options there. I’d slot Outtara at RB, I like Fatawu, and he works hard, but defensively he’s poor (at least so far).

Agree. Him centrally with Diop instead of Greaves would be better and ultimately then playing a natural RB. Furlong was such a solid signing I think he deserves a go, and at the very least he’s more agile and faster than OShea against the pacey wide players.

We need a few more games to tell if the benefit of flexibility is better than more static positions. There's Dara into the three with Outtara, but also Greaves filling left when Davis bombs on.

I would prefer to have a LCB with a natural left foot in the team, though we managed with a right footed Kipre in the Championship.

I'm wondering if Oshea is playing RB at present to help Fatawu understand his role off the ball and helping out at the back, then when he's settled, we might then see someone else take that role.
